A Few Days In
3 January (Tuesday):
136 g Protein (good), 62.72 g Carbs (not bad), 150.13 g Fat (bad).
C & I went to a lovely Bosnian restaurant and I had a Jaegerschnitzel which was smothered in a cream sauce. My late appointment meant I didn’t exercise.
4 January (Wednesday):
70 g Protein (not bad), 248 g Carbs (awful), 102 g Fat (bad).
I weakly ate cookies at work. Then we had an unplanned meal ordered and I chose glazed chicken wings. That meant also that I didn’t exercise.
So far today I’m doing really well. I am on track to hitting my ‘targets.’ About bloody time too. Totals tomorrow/Saturday.
Any comments or suggestions gratefully received.
Start
Last night I walked 45 minutes on the treadmill.
I ate 182 g protein, 68 g carbs and 99 g fat. For comparison, my goals are a minimum of 70 g protein, 60 g carbs and 40 g of fat.
I weighed myself this morning and I weighed ‘x.’
So it was okay yesterday and so far today except that we went to Sardi’s and they drench their mixed vegetables in butter. That and the chicken skin pushed me high in fat; I have to figure out a better side dish or accept the fat penalty. They do offer a salad but it’s chock-a-block with onions and yuck, I won’t eat them. Walking was not bad; it was at the beginning of the day when I always have more energy. Even with that by about minute 40 I was really tired.
I can handle today at work – despite the buckets of caramels and cookies and the red velvet cake that have been brought in. Tonight I won’t be able to walk very easily as I’ve got an appointment and won’t be back late. And we’re eating out so that’s not optimal either. I will call the restaurant ahead of time to see if I can get the schnitzel made without breading which would help a lot; if not, then it’s cevapcici and hold the bread for me. Mind you I like cevapcici so that’s not so bad.
